Meet the Team
Steven grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where he began his career in the nursery industry at just 15
years old, working weekend carry-out shifts at Moon Valley Nursery. His passion for horticulture
and the nursery business led him to study urban horticulture, plant growth and development, and
turfgrass management at Mesa College.
Steven continued his career with Moon Valley, gaining hands-on experience in procurement,
propagation, and production at the company’s California grow yards before relocating to Las Vegas
to help establish retail nurseries throughout Southern Nevada. During this time, he also pursued
competitive skydiving, earning multiple national championships.
While in Las Vegas, Steven met his wife, Vanessa, and the two were married in 2013. After 13 years
in the nursery business, Steven helped launch a new landscape maintenance and installation
company as general manager. Driven by his long-standing goal of owning and building a business,
he took on that challenge in early 2016. He started with just himself—selling new landscape
projects, completing installations, and managing the office and administrative work.
Over the past 10 years, building Centerpoint and having the opportunity to hire, train, and work
alongside so many great people has been one of the greatest joys of Steven’s career.
Mark is very passionate about his work and excels at connecting with clients, understanding their needs and producing highly creative design solutions. With over 35 years of design and construction experience, including interning in Japan, Mark brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Mark graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Landscape Architecture. He is married with two children and enjoys travel, architecture and dining out at restaurants with wonderful ambiance.
Jeremy is a 20-year nursery veteran with extensive plant knowledge. He has been in landscape/hardscape portion for the last 5 years. He was born and raised in Phoenix Arizona and loves the outdoors, camping, motorcycles, scuba diving, and deep-sea fishing. He has two teenage children; 1 boy 1 girl and loves dogs.
Daniel was born in Fort Carson, Colorado but has lived in Las Vegas since he was two. He is currently in his fourth year at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas majoring in Landscape Architect. He looks forward to increasing his knowledge and skill in the industry as well as meeting new people along the way. Daniel enjoys spending his time working on cars, overlanding, traveling with his wife, and spending time with his two dogs.
Greg has been in the Las Vegas Valley for 24 years, originally moving here to dance for
Céline Dion. He had a successful career as a dancer, award-winning choreographer and
director before shifting careers into landscape architecture. He has 2 bachelor’s degrees
and enjoys connecting with clients and exceeding their expectations with his designs.
Joey is originally from the Minneapolis area and has been in Las Vegas since 2018. He started at Centerpoint right out of high school as a design assistant and worked his way up while earning his Associate of Science degree from the College of Southern Nevada. He’s Chinese American, fluent in Mandarin, and has a passion for architecture and the exterior design world. Joey is always striving to come up with fun and interesting ideas to make outdoor spaces both beautiful and functional.
Rebeca Barboza
Design Assistant
Blaise, a Las Vegas native, began his academic journey with aspirations of becoming an architect. A high school teacher ignited his creative drive, leading him to excel and achieve Outstanding Design recognition in an AIA competition. However, as Blaise delved further into his studies at college, he discovered a deep passion for designing landscapes and outdoor furniture rather than buildings. He boldly decided to switch his major to Landscape Architecture; Blaise followed his heart and recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in the field during the spring of 2023. Blaise finds solace and joy in dance and graphic design when he’s not immersed in his professional pursuits. His friends and family know him as the ultimate Star Wars enthusiast.
Christian Barraza
Design Assistant
Michelle was born in Yokosuka, Japan but grew up in Las Vegas. She is currently pursuing her passion for Landscape Architecture at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and hopes to continue expanding her knowledge in design after graduation. She is an avid book reader, loves to take pictures, and spends her free time with friends and family.
Nadia Reyes
Design Assistant
Josh is originally from a small town in Mississippi and has called this area home for the past five years. He enjoys traveling and exploring national parks whenever he gets the chance. Professionally, Josh takes pride in helping clients find the right solutions for their landscaping needs while also enjoying the analytical and behind-the-scenes work that keeps projects running smoothly. He values building strong relationships with clients and combining practical problem-solving with attention to detail to deliver great results.
Meghan has been part of Centerpoint since 2018, growing into a role that touches nearly
every part of the business, from a client’s first design consultation through construction,
maintenance, and ongoing service. She oversees administration, accounting, HR and
benefits, project coordination, procurement, scheduling, and customer service.
Before Centerpoint, she worked with general contractors on high-end custom residential
builds and commercial tenant improvements, managing schedules, budgets, and vendor
coordination.
Meghan holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from CSU Dominguez Hills,
is OSHA 30 certified, holds a project management certification, and is a member of
National Association of Women In Construction. She’s driven by a simple philosophy: if it’s
worth doing, it’s worth doing right the first time.
Originally from Southern California, Meghan has called Southern Nevada home since 2011
and is a true local at this point. She’s married to her best friend, Chad, and is a devoted
Disney fan with 500+ trips to the park under her belt.
Nancy provides accounting, payroll and office assistance and has been with Centerpoint
Landscaping since 2019.
Nancy was born and raised in the San Francisco/Bay Area. After her first child, she and her
husband moved to the Central Valley in California where they raised their two children. She worked
as an Accounting Assistant for a local almond company for 18 years. After becoming “empty
nesters”, she retired from her position, and she and her husband decided to move to Henderson.
Nancy enjoys the outdoors, hiking, traveling, and loves spending time with her family and two
granddaughters. She is extremely proud of her two children. Her daughter is currently employed as
a Health Care Consultant in California. Her son works for CCSD as a Media Relations Public
Information Coordinator.
Adrian Ball
Purchasing Coordinator
Nolen is originally from Huntington Beach, CA. After serving in the US Army for 8 years, he and his wife Lauren, who was his middle school crush, chose to settle down in Las Vegas, along with their 4 children. Nolen is a professional photographer and videographer. He enjoys anything and everything that is art, media and marketing related. Nolen received a bachelor’s degree in photography/art from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada in 2020.
Lahana recently graduated from Nevada State University with a bachelor’s degree in
communications, emphasizing in Public Relations and Media Studies, along with a minor
in Digital Cinema. During her time in higher education, she served as Student Body
President and Chair of the Nevada Student Alliance, representing and advocating for more
than 110,000 Nevada college students across the state. With more than four years of
experience in social media management, Lahana is passionate about growing platforms,
strengthening brand messaging, and creating meaningful digital engagement. She is eager
to continue expanding her knowledge of marketing while remaining driven, creative, and
committed to professional growth. Outside of work, she enjoys visiting family in California,
exploring new boba spots, and going hiking.
Shar Maes
Operations & Client Services Coordinator
Edwin has been in the construction business for almost 20 years. He is in charge of several crews at Centerpoint Landscaping, ensuring they are following proper procedures and completing design projects successfully. He is known for his hard work, attention to detail and willingness to share his knowledge with other coworkers, allowing them to progress. Edwin is the father to 4 children who he loves camping, being outdoors and playing soccer with.
Jesus serves as a Construction Supervisor for Centerpoint Landscaping. Jesus joined the team in the Summer of 2021, while newer to our team he has fit right in. Jesus supervises the construction crews holding them accountable to complete our projects in a timely and safe manner with pride and professionalism. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of our work. Jesus is a proud father of two who enjoys spending time with his family in his free time.
Daniel has been with Centerpoint for 4 years and has worked in maintenance and Landscaping for nearly 15 years. He is happily married with four children, two boys and two girls. Daniel enjoys spending time with his family, exploring Las Vegas as well as other locations. He also enjoys soccer, which is his favorite sport.
